| Subject: | How to save sized pictures |
Dear Members:
When I send pictures of finished items, they come out too big. I have a Fookes thumbnail maker on my computer. I could do all the steps except how to save the pictures to my computer so that I send smaller images to you.
I would appreciate some advice on how to save it to a folder.

Here is a freeware program that will size down your large photos and also put into a different folder. Hope this helps some. http://adionsoft.net/fastimageresize/

Dear Roberta:
Thank you for your quick reply and your help. I downloaded it but I
didn't run it because I want to make sure it is ok to run. The instructions
seem very clear. After I talk to my computer teacher, I will see whether this
is compatible with my computer. I only have 1 gigabyte and I hope this is
sufficient to run.

Your welcome Rose and others. It is a very small program, and I always resize my photos to the 800x600 for most email's. It is nice to see the very large photos also, but some people do like them smaller. And for people that are still on dial up, it is good for them also. With the 5 files that will be installed, it is just under 1MB. I can use other programs like PhotoFiltre (just the one exe file is 2.6MB) to size down, but when you want to do more than one at a time, that is a nice program. And it being Freeware makes it also good. And in the options FastImageResizer does put the new smaller photo into it's own folder so you can keep the original large.

Dear Roberta:
I only downloaded and saved the above program to my desktop. As I
explained in my earlier email to you, I asked my computer teacher if it was safe
to run it. He tried it out on his computer and it ruined one of his email
systems. Plus when he tried to close a program, the symbols were not there
and he couldn't close it. Also when he told it to run, it opened up to a
request for money before it could be used.
Please let the other members know that this is not a good program.
